We will gather for a sacred ceremony at the Basilica of Sant Vicent Ferrer, a 14th-century church deeply rooted in Valencia’s spiritual heritage. Guests are kindly asked to arrive early and be seated before the procession. Ladies are requested to bring a shawl or wrap for the church ceremony.
Gentlemen are required to wear classic black tie, including a tuxedo with a bow tie. Ladies are invited to wear floor-length or ankle-grazing gowns in rich, vibrant hues. We kindly request that all guests refrain from wearing white, allowing the evening’s palette to remain timeless, bold, and unforgettable
Transportation will be provided for guests following the ceremony, with shuttles departing from the church directly to the venue. Later in the night, two scheduled return services will transport guests from the venue to downtown Valencia

A special evening to mix, mingle, and kick off the wedding celebrations! Hosted by the bride’s parents, this is our way of saying a big thank you to everyone traveling from afar to celebrate with us. We’ll be gathering at the historic Mercado de Colón, enjoying traditional tapas-style bites and, of course, plenty of cocktails!
Built between 1914–1916 in Valencian Art Nouveau style, was originally a bustling fresh market. Restored in 2003, it now houses cafés, restaurants, and gourmet shops, blending historic architecture with modern leisure. Today, it’s a vibrant cultural hub and a must-visit landmark in Valencia
We can’t wait to celebrate with you on our big day! The ceremony will be held at the Basilica of Sant Vicent Ferrer, a Neo-Gothic church built on the site of St. Vincent Ferrer’s birth. After the ceremony, we’ll head to our wedding venue at La Cartuja de Ara Christi, a historic 16th-century Carthusian monastery now transformed into a stunning event venue.
Located just outside Valencia, blending rich history with serene architectural beauty. The site features a mix of open-air and covered cloisters, peaceful gardens, and the Hall of Mirrors, which was originally the monastery’s church.

For those joining us from Houston, we’ve found that the most affordable and convenient flights are typically from Houston to Madrid. While flights directly into Valencia are available, they usually include a layover and are slightly more expensive.
We recommend flying into Madrid, spending 2–3 days exploring, and then making your way to Valencia on a high-speed train such as AVE or Iryo —both offer a smooth, scenic ride of about 1 hour and 45 minutes.
For the wedding weekend, we suggest arriving in Valencia by Thursday morning and departing Saturday or Sunday, giving you time to enjoy the festivities and experience the beauty of the city.
Below are two hotel options we’ve selected for their charm, comfort, and convenient location near all of our wedding events. Both are centrally located—just a short walk from our welcome party at Mercado de Colón and the pick-up/drop-off point on the wedding day. Of course, guests are welcome to stay wherever they prefer.

Aliza and Juan met in their early 20s, when life still felt wide open and full of possibility. What started as something easy and lighthearted quickly grew into a love neither of them expected, but both felt deeply. From the very beginning, being together just felt right.
They grew up side by side, navigating college, adulthood, and even the unexpected days of COVID, learning what it meant to truly choose each other. Along the way, their little family grew to include their two fur babies, Margot and Bean, who made their home even fuller and their days a little sweeter.
Through every season—big changes, quiet moments, and everything in between—Juan and Aliza became each other’s constant. They learned, laughed, dreamed, and built a life rooted in patience, partnership, and unconditional love.
In 2024, one “just for fun” conversation turned into something more when they found themselves stepping into their first home together, a place that quickly became a reflection of the life they were building. Later that year, in September, Juan asked Aliza to be his forever, and she said yes without hesitation.
Now, with full hearts and endless excitement, they’re ready to continue their journey, hand in hand, surrounded by love, officially becoming husband and wife and writing their next chapter together.
